For the Last Time!
February 25, 2009

Late once again…/sigh

I’ll admit, I knew I should have posted something yesterday but I had no clue what to let my thoughts out about. I still don’t really know what to blog about. :/

I guess my mind and I can try to conjure up something. Raiding, ah a very general topic. Let’s see here. My so called main aka my priest has witnessed every raid so far besides for attempting Sartharion with all three drakes up -eep-. Right now, Naxxramas has become very very, boring. This is also not very much so worth it for my priest. Nothing in 10 man is an upgrade, and 25man has very small amounts of upgrades. What I don’t like about this is having my alt hunter. Whenever I raid on my hunter items my priest could use drop and whenever I raid on my priest tons of hunter gear drops. It’s really frustrating for this to happen almost every raid I take them to. My guild needs my priest more than my hunter so I generally PuG raids on my hunter. These don’t always go well but I do enjoy them from time to time. Basically, what I’m trying to get across is!, I can’t wait for the new content to arrive. Granted I am not the best geared I can be on either of my characters, but this new instance…Ulduar? sounds really fun and interactive.

Throne of Naxx :D

Throne of Naxx :D

From what I understand the first portion is your group against an army! Who knows what’s left after that, I don’t really enjoy spoilers so I’ve tried to hide the information from myself. I wish I could get onto the PTR’s to see for myself..they won’t download for me.  /grumble.

This will be my last time (I hope…) posting late. Tuesday WILL be the guarenteed blog day…and any other day than that will probably have posts since I can’t help myself sometimes.

One thing bugging my non wow related is WordPress. My blog’s time is ahead of my own time by 7 hours. I can’t seem to fix this no matter how many times i update my settings..It’s rather annoying posting something on say wednesday where I am, but it shows up posted a day later. Oh well..hopefully this won’t become to annoying.

Take care everyone, thank you for those still checking back here sorry I let you down! -flee-.

Better Late than Never.
February 19, 2009

After much un-needed doubt upon myself, I realized I hadn’t posted yesterday like I said I would. Hopefully the lack of keeping up with my word didn’t put anybody off -shrug-. Anyhow, the topic we will be discussing today, or more so…typing about shall be level 60 raid content! How exciting /cricket.

I know these places can be done with a lot less people than they used to require (40), but I still enjoy these raids a lot more than the newest content. My favorite times on wow had to be my 60 playtime, to bad time machines aren’t created yet. A friend and I decided now that we have some gear we should try to 2 man Onyxia. I know certain classes can and have Soloed this raid, I’m sure my disc priest could even solo this given the proper stamina and mana lasting long enough, but anyhow the two classes we have to do this with is my priest and my friend’s mage. Shall we begin?

:O /Incoming!!

:O /Incoming!!

  • Phase 1:

-Onyxia starts out pretty simple. She is immune to taunts(Not that we have any…) So I let my mage friend start the fight dpsing so he can generate enough aggro to hold her. I usually don’t pull aggro during this phase but since it’s only two people the dps is somewhat slower than normal, If I heal and Dps i eventually pull aggro from healing aggro as well. We get through this phase without barely even a scratch. at 66% she switches over to phase two.

  • Phase 2:

-Onyxia takes off into the air! Flying above us pew pew’in fire balls and the occasional deep breath to incinerate her enemies! /cackle. The deep breath is very easy to avoid seeing as we both have past experience dealing with this at 60. This phase is rather mana intensive for both of us, seeing as the mage is our only form of getting her to come back down! I decide to deal with the whelps that come in from both sides (aka whelp caves) with holy nova / mind sear since i have better regen than the mage does. The only downfall i have here is that the fireballs actually do some damage to us even at 80, so I have to heal as well. This phase takes me to about 50% mana by the time we are finished. T_T

  • Phase 3:

-Tada! At around 45% Onyxia comes back down from her air ride to assault us once again! She restarts her aggro so I continue just like phase one not doing to much healing besides the needed ones while my friend builds some aggro. Since we have the fears and lava strikes in this phase, i sometimes pull aggro when the mage goes oom. This isn’t really a problem, allows him to use evocation without interruption and gets aggro back while I fade to wipe mine. For us, it seems this phase goes the slowest dps wise. Probably due to all the fears interrupting our casts and therefore slowing the dps. (Obviously..) — Slowly but surely we get her down to 0% :D Onyxia down!! — We like to collect our 60 gear since the models look pretty decent, we both have our Tier 2 helmet from this raid so it’s almost pointless. At least I can add 27gold a week to my bags, a chance at the 18 slot bag and endless(useless…)Nexus Crystals :D

Maybe I should try to solo onyxia, maybe that would be more interesting? /Flee

Double the Fun?

First and Foremost, Happy Valentines Day! (Yes..I know it’s late)

3Picnic Basket.

<3Picnic Basket.

With the excitement of this new ‘world event’, like most, comes the excitement of a new title. I don’t know why but these achievements really draw me in and suck my WoW time away doing them until I accomplish my goals of completing the achievement. The current event going on in the World of Warcraft right now, or at least for one more day is the ‘Love is in the air’ event. This ‘holiday’ is based off of Valentine’s day. Now not everybody enjoys this holiday, but these achievements were at least something to do! I’d have to say the Be Mine! achievement had to be the most annoying one for me. I had to get a few bags of candy before finally attaining the last piece of heart candy I needed. Although I didn’t mind having extra little gifts to send to my friends. This world event really gives you multiple ways to show your appreciation for other WoW players.

Although everyone is mending hearts crazy for the 20 mended achievement, I think it’s nice to keep at least one friendship bracelet for a little reminder. Maybe I just like role-playing realms to much, maybe I shouldn’t be on a pvp realm? Funny how that works out. Anyways, the rose petals are also something I adore about this holiday. I really like mixing the pink ones and the black ones, they look so artistic falling combined. I also managed to get a hold of the red bouquet. /giggle. Now hm, enough of this fluff onto what this post was originally meant to be about!

Having two level 80 character’s, and liking both of them equally, I felt the need to get the title achievements on each of them. This is a lot of work and really repetitive for me. I’ll admit I don’t enjoy doing each achievement twice (Let’s hope I don’t level anymore 80′s…xP) but in the end I am glad I took the time to get these titles. With the lunar festival just passing and I had just gotten the Elder title on both characters, doing both of these love fool title achievements was a little bit more annoying. I felt that this title was the first really difficult one so far, It wasn’t just Go do this, go do that, get this achievement. A lot of it was by chance, you had to put time into the achievements and some effort. I’m still gunning for Perma-Peddle on my hunter, I have gotten him on three characters so far…lame alts. Good luck getting that title, oh and, WTB more bag space D: Event items taking it all. QQ (:

Tedious, but so worth it.

Flo&Tsubaki

Flo&Tsubaki

Upon my hunter finally dinging level 80, within two days Flo had obtained 2/5 tier7.5 and some other random epics. I couldn’t help but feel this was just a little bit to lucky. Perhaps I was just being my normal thinking of others self, but within one run I had won 5 epics before we had even cleared every wing of Naxx. I had gotten leather shoulders earlier in the instance as well as my Tier 7 token. I was raiding with a pug group and felt that at the time it’s just a pug with open rolls, does it really matter if I win more loot than others? You see, if I was with my guild the situation would probably be handled by myself a bit differently.

If somebody else could have gotten a better upgrade from a piece that I had won, I’d consider passing depending on how big of an upgrade it was. Once we got Sapphiron down, I passed on the key to EoE since I felt bad about loot already. When we downed Kel’Thuzad the hunter tier helm dropped as well as a great neck piece. I passed on both of these feeling like I had won to many pieces already. I guess in your opinion, should I have rolled on these items considering this was a pug or was my…feelings about this loot the right thing to do? I don’t know wether it was right or wrong but it was a great experience.

I got to play my hunter yet again, I missed pew pewing and topping dps meters. I’m not one to judge people based off of meters since they can’t tell you if you froze a mob to save a healer, dispelled enrage at the right time, MD’d to the tank etc. etc. but I did hate seeing my priest at the bottom for well, known reasons. My hunter I feel is slowly becoming more played than my priest. Now I think the only reason for this is that my priest doesn’t need to many upgrades where as my hunter can use some still. I try to balance out their play times and so far it’s going well, I hope i’m not in over my head with two 80′s..

Unnecessary Change?
February 10, 2009

Inner Fire

After downloading the patch today, I couldn’t help but notice the one and only priest change that hardly affects the class at all. –

Priests

  • Inner Fire duration has been increased to 30 minutes and can no longer be dispelled.
  • Now I know a lot of priests are happy about this change, but is it really something we needed that much for them to implement it alone while other classes had multiple changes? (Yes, I’m being selfish.) I have heard that for some people, this is annoying to remember to cast every 10 minutes or when the charges fade. In my opinion, this isn’t that difficult to do, if you really want that extra spell power this spell won’t be slipping your mind. The time change isn’t needed..I think it’s just something to keep the priests quiet until the big changes come into play.

Although I do agree with the non-dispellable change to Inner Fire,  I recall blizzard being against this change in the past. I’m curious as to why they changed their minds. Was the increased time priests really needed or just something to feed us with until we get our bigger changes? I guess this minor patch for priests has it’s pros and cons, I’m probably just to cynical to see all the pros.

    The Start of It.
    February 10, 2009

Here are the beginning foot steps to what one of this day and age would call a blog. Now I am only creating this to let my thoughts spill out into something that’s more formal than just…into space. I hope that if you take the time to read this one of you might find it somewhat entertaining. And if not, a critique is always welcome! This post is to just more or less identify my blogs existence as well as to preserve the placeholder for my rants/unimportant thoughts/etc.

I would like to introduce Snug, my level 80 priest.

    Snug

    /wave

I have always been a fan of the priest class, ever since starting this game. But it has not been until recently that I have actually pushed myself into creating this toon and leveling past level 30 to obtain a new main. I have many “Alts” and my highest priest before this was only level 44. I must say that I do enjoy healing and do enjoy being whispered and feeling needed at times. This also comes with a price, but I won’t be explaining that here. I guess one thing to mention, this blog isn’t going to be an elitist priest gathering, mostly just my own thoughts on priestly related things as well as general warcraft information.

I will be trying to post every Tuesday ~ As well as random times that I feel the need to, we shall see how well this schedule upholds. Anyways, I encourage anyone and everyone to disagree with my opinions, post your own opinions or just let me know what you thought of the overall post. I don’t claim to be an amazing writer or anything of that nature, just a person who felt the need to create a Blog, and here I am.
