Finally Here (Again)!
November 25, 2009

Well ahem, I’m back with playing WoW and I’ve decided that to make this game fun for me I won’t be seriously raiding, at least not until I get a better system to handle the raids. And also hopefully writing this blog again. Hopefully I will be welcomed with open arms as I was when I first started. Although I never got into the blog community too much I hope to give it a second try. Anyway, I shall be attempting my first mediocre post now!

Pilgrim’s Bounty!

Yes, this is a couple days late than the debut of the wonderful holiday, but this is something to post about and something I wanted to post about! I should stop talking to myself within these posts -_-” Anyway, This holiday is inspired by Thanksgiving celebrated here in the US.

My first intentions/thoughts was “Hey, let’s post a guide about this new holiday!” But after waiting a couple days and finding that many other people have already done so, why repeat information of what others have already gathered? If you still haven’t gotten a jump on these achievements/quests should start asap, as the dailies rewards are needed for some of the achievements. I’d personally recommend using WoWHeads Guide as they always have very informative holiday guides.

On the server Moon Guard where my paladin claims her home, the first night of this holiday was flooded with people desperately running around hunting turkey and easily raising cooking. But the amount of people coming out from their hiding places around Azeroth isn’t what caught my attention. But actually seeing a GM in-game for the first time in my 4+ years of playing did! You see, the Bountiful Table chairs had an issue with them. If Horde were to come sit on them, and we (the alliance) killed them while they were still sitting, the chair would despawn all together upon the death of the Horde character. This was extremely frustrating for those of us who started the achievements in stormwind/elwynn. All we had to do was fly to Ironforge or take a boat ride to Darnassus/Exodar right? Nah, we roleplayers are pretty lazy! So after a few minutes of people ticketing GM’s, one appeared to respawn these tables for us!

Gm to the rescue!

My friend was helpful enough to lend me this screen shot, as I wasn’t able to get one myself. Sadly all we have is the text but that’s enough right? Wrong! later that night the chairs had been messed up again! Now I was online for 2-3 hours and the 2nd time this happened still wasn’t resolved so who’s to say if another GM appeared and fixed this but..apparently they told players we are working on a solution. And they did fix this, as  I killed some alliance on my horde character under the same circumstances but the chairs hadn’t dissapeared this time :D . Good times, now go become a Pilgrim and roast your own turkeys!

On a side note, my newly found crappy site ‘banner’ is pretty crappy D: But thought I should mention, the three characters on this image are of my three 80′s. Marzi: Human Paladin, Flo: Orc Hunter, and Snug: Undead Priest. My posts will probably center around these three classes and experiences with these characters. Again, bad banner is bad.

Campgarden, who knew?
April 28, 2009

It’s that time again to begin the craze for Achievements/Loot/Titles with another holiday, Noblegarden! I don’t know about the realms you play on, but the two I have 80′s that would like to get this title were..crazy to say the least. I started this event as soon as it came up on my priest, 12:01 a.m. Server time. For the first 30 to 40 minutes or so, I was running around Bloodhoof Village collecting Brightly Colored Eggs from various spawn points. After this time just about every spawn point in Bloodhoof had a “Camper” sitting at the egg looting it as soon as it came up. Now I figured this would be one of the least populated places, but I was wrong about that. My guess is that everyone had the same thought as me, “Bloodhoof Village is always empty, nobody will be there.” Little did we know, everyone was there. After I finally collected 100 to buy my Spring Rabbit, a friend and I paired up to fly out to Un’Goro and lay an egg, as well as have our pets erm..’Love’ each other in each of the collecting cities for the achievements, Spring Fling and Hard Boiled. Upon completing these two I went to Razor Hill to try my luck at finding eggs here. Now the spawns here were much more spread out and..hard to find compared to Bloodhoof so I decided to join the campers in their quest for egg domination! I personally hate that the WoW community turned this holiday into such a simple stare at your screen for hours event, but there were so many people on my priest’s realm that I had no choice but to camp a spawn. Overall, doing every achievement and gathering enough eggs to gain the title “the Noble“, took me 6 hours to complete.

Bunnies! :3

Bunnies! :3

Now I’m usually not one to complain, but the amount of people sitting at spawn points was a little ridiculous in my opinion. I mean, the “hunt” for eggs was much more fun than sitting there staring at a certain point cramping my hand from clicking for so long only to gain a title and some frilly items. I know nobody forced me to do this, besides myself, but eh what can I say I like titles =). Anyway, all I’m trying to complain about is this holiday had a pretty decent design to be used, except of course it had a flaw. I’d prefer running around the towns to gain my eggs but with as heavy populated as they are on my realm(s) I’d have to say, camping seems more efficient at gathering chocolate/eggs.

I have been able to get the title now on both my Hunter as well as my Priest. I’m working to get some ears and dresses for my alts now just to have when I find the time. I’d like to share how I go about gaining this title now that I have some knowledge about it. So here it goes! First, I run to either Brill or Razor Hill. I’m not sure why but I prefer these places for egg hunting, unless Bloodhoof isn’t to crowded, I love the cows :P . Anyway, once at the towns I try to decide if there are way to many campers than I’ll have to find a spot and join them. If there isn’t so many and eggs are being left unlooted I shall begin my route around town attempting to get eggs. So, I start off by looting an egg to get I Found One! Afterwords I continue collecting eggs until I have gathered 20 Chocolates/Shells to complete the two quests The Great Egg  Hunt and A Tisket, A Tasket, A Noblegarden Basket. Once those are complete, I continue farming eggs up until I have 100. Once I have gotten 100 Noblegarden Chocolates I eat them all to get the Achievement Chocoholic. If by then I haven’t looted all the items I’d like to have such as the Rabbit pet or the Spring Circlet, I will continue to gather eggs until I have everything I want. Now all you need to finish the achievements to get your title is the Spring Rabbit, Spring Flowers, Spring Robes, White Tuxedo Shirt, Black Tuxedo Pants, Noblegarden Egg, and possibly Blossoming Branch. So if  you don’t have time to get everything else or aren’t lucky enough to get any of the items from eggs you don’t have to go for everything but in order to get the title if you don’t get any items from the eggs you will have to collect 355 Noblegarden Chocolates. Pretty simple just takes a lot of time. Good luck to you all! Happy Noblegarden :D — Can’t wait for Children’s Week.

Double the Fun?

First and Foremost, Happy Valentines Day! (Yes..I know it’s late)

3Picnic Basket.

<3Picnic Basket.

With the excitement of this new ‘world event’, like most, comes the excitement of a new title. I don’t know why but these achievements really draw me in and suck my WoW time away doing them until I accomplish my goals of completing the achievement. The current event going on in the World of Warcraft right now, or at least for one more day is the ‘Love is in the air’ event. This ‘holiday’ is based off of Valentine’s day. Now not everybody enjoys this holiday, but these achievements were at least something to do! I’d have to say the Be Mine! achievement had to be the most annoying one for me. I had to get a few bags of candy before finally attaining the last piece of heart candy I needed. Although I didn’t mind having extra little gifts to send to my friends. This world event really gives you multiple ways to show your appreciation for other WoW players.

Although everyone is mending hearts crazy for the 20 mended achievement, I think it’s nice to keep at least one friendship bracelet for a little reminder. Maybe I just like role-playing realms to much, maybe I shouldn’t be on a pvp realm? Funny how that works out. Anyways, the rose petals are also something I adore about this holiday. I really like mixing the pink ones and the black ones, they look so artistic falling combined. I also managed to get a hold of the red bouquet. /giggle. Now hm, enough of this fluff onto what this post was originally meant to be about!

Having two level 80 character’s, and liking both of them equally, I felt the need to get the title achievements on each of them. This is a lot of work and really repetitive for me. I’ll admit I don’t enjoy doing each achievement twice (Let’s hope I don’t level anymore 80′s…xP) but in the end I am glad I took the time to get these titles. With the lunar festival just passing and I had just gotten the Elder title on both characters, doing both of these love fool title achievements was a little bit more annoying. I felt that this title was the first really difficult one so far, It wasn’t just Go do this, go do that, get this achievement. A lot of it was by chance, you had to put time into the achievements and some effort. I’m still gunning for Perma-Peddle on my hunter, I have gotten him on three characters so far…lame alts. Good luck getting that title, oh and, WTB more bag space D: Event items taking it all. QQ (:

Tedious, but so worth it.
